How much does a home or building inspection cost?

The price for an inspection varies depending on the size, features, and location of the house.  If you are currently shopping around for prices, it is suggested that your satisfaction with the qualifications of any given company should carry more weight in your decision of whom to hire than the difference of a few dollars. Hiring the cheapest inspector simply based upon price would be a mistake. Although there are industry home inspection standards out there, individual inspectors will arrive with varying attitudes and levels of experience. Our prices are competitive and our service is OUTSTANDING.

Remember: all inspectors are not the same. Some inspection companies distinguish themselves with bargain prices. We distinguish ourselves with high-quality service. The inspection fee is a drop in the bucket for a purchase of hundreds of thousand of dollars or more.

Another way of looking at it: "The bitterness of poor quality lasts long after the sweetness of low price has been forgotten".

The Common Law of Business, by John Ruskin (1819 - 1900)

There is hardly anything in the world that someone cannot make a little worse and sell a little cheaper, and the people who consider price alone are that person's lawful prey.

It is unwise to pay too much, but it is also unwise to pay too little.

When you pay too much, you lose a little money, that is all.

When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything because the thing you bought is incapable of doing the thing you bought it to do.

The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot...

It can't be done.

If you deal with the lowest bidder it is well to add something for the risk you run.

And if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.
